Dart & Flight Recommendations

Quality darts and flights tested through actual competitive play.

Start with Budget Options

Darts are extremely personal. Grip style, barrel length, weight distribution, and grip texture all affect how a dart feels and performs for you. What works for one player might feel completely wrong for another.

Don't invest in premium darts until you know what you're looking for. Start with budget options, experiment with different weights and grip styles, and only upgrade once you understand your preferences.

My Current Setup

I currently throw the Cuesoul Gem Stone darts at 21g for steel tip (home practice and online play). They're 90% tungsten which keeps them slim enough for tight grouping without the premium price of 95%+ tungsten barrels.

For flights, I prefer one-piece molded flights (Cyeelife are my go-to). They don't pop off, they're far more durable than traditional flights, and there are no Robin Hoods or broken shafts to deal with. The one-piece design eliminates a lot of frustration during practice and play.

For soft tip league, I use the Cuesoul 19g soft tip darts with the same 90% tungsten barrel design. Keeping the same feel across both formats helps with consistency between steel tip and soft tip play.

Choosing Your Weight

Most players throw between 21-24g for steel tip. Lighter darts (18-21g) are easier to control but less stable in flight. Heavier darts (24-26g) are more stable but require more arm strength for consistent throwing.

I recommend starting at 22g and adjusting from there. If you're straining to throw accurately, go lighter. If your darts feel inconsistent in flight, try heavier.
