Target Tor Dartboard
Pros:
- Softer feel during play - more forgiving on impact
- Premium Madagascan sisal with excellent self-healing
- 60% thinner wire system than traditional boards
- WDF approved competition standard
- Innovative 36XTEN rotational number ring (10 rotations at 36° each)
- Peak-Fix mounting system works on uneven walls
Cons:
- Small number ring - harder to read from distance
Verdict:
Good quality board with a softer feel that some players prefer. The thinner wire system reduces bounce-outs, and the premium sisal holds up well. Just be aware the number ring is smaller than most boards.
Best for: Players who prefer a softer board feel and don't mind the smaller numbers

Shot Bandit Gen 4
Pros:
- Thinnest wires on the market - absolute fewest bounce-outs
- Excellent sisal fiber construction
- Great durability
Cons:
- Janky plastic mounting system - requires modification
- You'll likely need to stuff socks or padding behind it for stability
- Installation frustration negates some of the quality benefits
Verdict:
Excellent board with the thinnest wires available, but the mounting system is weird and janky. Worth it if you can tolerate some mounting issues and DIY solutions (bring socks).
Best for: Players who prioritize absolute minimum bounce-outs and don't mind DIY mounting

One80 Gladiator 3
Pros:
- Budget-friendly without sacrificing quality
- Staple-free bullseye reduces bounce-outs in the center
- Great value for money - punches above its price point
- Perfect for practice boards or beginners
Cons:
- Wire system not as refined as Blade 6 or Shot Bandit
- May show wear faster than premium boards
- Not tournament-grade specs
Verdict:
Excellent budget board that's still a quality product. Don't let the price fool you - this is a legit dartboard, just without the premium refinements.
Best for: Beginners, practice setups, budget-conscious players, or second boards
My Setup
I currently use the Shot Bandit Gen 4 at home with a Blade 6 surround. Yes, I stuffed socks behind the mounting bracket to keep it stable. Yes, it's annoying. But the wire system really does reduce bounce-outs noticeably compared to my old Blade 6.
If I were starting fresh and didn't already own the Shot Bandit, I'd probably just get the Blade 6 with surround bundle and call it a day. The mounting headache isn't worth it for most players.
